Description: The first gather of molten glass pulled from the crucible is fumed with 24kt gold. A second gather of clear cases the gold and a proprietary treatment of cobalt is applied in a swirling matrix. The finished design is cased in a globe of crystal clear glass. The fuming technique used to create this piece is a trade secret but the impression it leaves is not: the Vortex is one of our most popular designs. 3" L x 4.5" W
